Everyone experiences mental health issues. The number of people taking time off work due to mental health or substance abuse issues is on the rise. As a working professional, you are a valuable contributor to your own personal mental health, financial security, and work-place satisfaction.
Whether you require treatment to keep your job, license or certificate, work related stress, job burnout, or dealing with non-work related psychosocial issues like depression, anxiety and substance abuse, the IOP is structured so individuals can remain off work on FMLA or continue work if needed while participating in the program.
The Working Professional will participate in either the Adult Mental Health IOP or Adult Substance Abuse IOP. Programs are offered in both daytime and evening hours, and treatment length and programming days will be tailored to fit your personal specialty needs between optimal mental health and work re-entry.
The Program staff and working professional will develop an individualized treatment plan, explore return to work options and choices, cope with emotional aspects or issues related to work, and help structure a healthier life balance in work, family and home.
Most working adults qualify for family medical leave of absence (FMLA) from work. The program clinical staff are trained in assisting with FMLA and disability paperwork among your employer, human resources, EAP’s and other authorized personnel.
Clients will develop the skills for a successful workplace re-entry and the confidence to handle first day back on the job.
The Resource Center recognizes the value in the client’s healing process from supportive family and friends. All IOP programs offer a weekly 1.5 hour group education component, designed to increase overall understanding of mental health issues and provide opportunities for specific skills training. Although highly encouraged, family participation not necessary for IOP enrolment.
