Resource Center’s Dental Health program provides comprehensive oral health care to people living with HIV/AIDS.
For over 30 years, Resource Center’s Dental Health continuum of care has provided services for people living with HIV/AIDS. The program uses a restorative approach that focuses on reducing the burden of infection caused by dental decay, places emphasis on saving teeth vs. extraction, and reduces the use of more expensive medical services, thereby reducing the economic impact on the health care system. Services offered include cleanings, crowns, exams and x-rays, fillings, partials and dentures, peridontal therapy and root canals.
In order to make an appointment, clients must meet the eligibility standards outlined in Client Intake. Clients enter into Medical Case Management with coordination of dental and medical services including treatment education, risk reduction and assessment of physical, mental and psycho-social needs with appropriate referrals. Clients accessing dental services for the first time please contact the Medical Case Management coordinator at 214-540-4465.
