The David Bohnett Cyber Center
The David Bohnett Cyber Center provides a safe and welcoming place to access the Internet. Located inside the Phil Johnson Historic Archives and Research Library at the Resource Center of Dallas the Cyber Center offers eight public-use Internet computers, all with Microsoft Office software programs. Professional librarians as well as knowledgeable volunteers are on-hand to answer questions and to assist you in using the computers. The Cyber Center is made possible in part by a generous grant from the David Bohnett Foundation.
The Cyber Center is the place for:
- Job Hunting and Resume Building
- Finding Consumer Health Information
- Applying for services online
- Researching online information
- Online coursework
- Checking email
- Personal and Recreational use
Cyber Center Services:
- Eight computers with Internet access
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint)
- Black-and-white printing available at a nominal cost
- Access to the largest GLBT library in North Texas
- Free access to LGBTQ Life periodical database from Ebsco
- Coming Soon! Computer classes
The Cyber Center is open to the public. Users must obtain a free library card for the Phil Johnson Historic Archives and Research Library, which is available to anyone able to provide a photo identification and proof of current address.
Hours of Operation
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturdays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
